What does mean Compressed Block (brick) and Stabilized Earth ?

Origin:

Appearing in South Africa after apartheid, the Compressed and Stabilized Earth Block (BTCS) construction system was created by South Africans.
It is unknown by some; some people confuse it with geo-concrete.
Today, this system stands out on the international scene: Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso and many other African countries have adopted it; Ivory Coast is not left out.

The construction system BTCS (Block of Earth Compressed and Stabilized) consists of two technologies:
1- The compressed earth-cement block technology: compression of the earth mixed with cement to obtain the block of earth;
2- Dry assembly: the shape of the blocks allows self-blocking of the blocks (bricks).
